Chromatic-Confocal 3D Profilometer
The principle of chromatic-confocal distance measurement is based on chromatic aberration, which results from the wavelength dependence of the refractive index of glass. Utilizing this phenomenon, an optical arrangement can be constructed in which a broad-wavelength light beam passing through a lens with high chromatic aberration forms different focal points for its various wavelength components. If a well-reflecting object enters this focal range, the wavelength in the best focus reflects with the highest intensity, thus the geometrical distance from the lens can be determined from the wavelength position of the peak intensity in the reflected spectrum.
Our device differs from commercially available industrial systems in that it uses a high spatial coherence, high-intensity superluminescent light source for illumination, achieving 3-4 orders of magnitude higher intensity. This allows for the examination of poorly reflective, diffuse, matte, and highly absorptive surfaces, such as rubber, surfaces with anti-reflective coatings, etc.
The device, mounted on a 3D, 5-degree-of-freedom moving stage, is capable of full-surface profilometric measurements. For internal surface inspections, custom-designed beam-turning mirrors enable the examination of internal surfaces with diameters less than 15 mm.

Scattering Characteristic (BRDF) Analyzer
Determining the optical scattering characteristics of surfaces at arbitrary wavelengths. The instrument produces a scattering distribution function, the BRDF, for the given sample. If the task is to fit materials with unknown scattering characteristics into a simulation environment, the device can generate the necessary descriptive file within a few hours if the material sample is available.

Objective Testing System
An alignment system (alignment target and camera) and software for testing custom-made lenses.

An in-line photometer for process control and monitoring, suitable for laboratory-precision measurements in cylindrical-walled cuvettes and test tubes.

Automated, Rack-Mountable Fluorimeter
